Radiesse is a non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment designed to smooth wrinkles and enhance facial volume. It works by stimulating your body’s own collagen production, providing natural and long-lasting results. If you’re hoping to rejuvenate your appearance or combat signs of aging, our experienced and empathetic team at ENT Physicians is here to guide and support you every step of the way.
How Does Radiesse Work?
The calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) in Radiesse stimulates the body’s collagen production, a natural substance that adds volume and smoothness to the skin. Because Radiesse continues to facilitate collagen production after the CaHA has been absorbed by the body, it creates immediate results and long-term benefits.
Who Benefits from Radiesse?
Our facial specialists will help you determine if this procedure is a good fit for your needs. Candidates for Radiesse:
- Have moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds
- Are interested in a non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment to enhance facial volume
- Have realistic expectations and understand that while Radiesse provides a significant improvement, it does not entirely reverse aging
- Are not pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have not had adverse reactions to any other dermal fillers
What Happens During the Procedure and Recovery?
Preparation
Prior to the Radiesse procedure, the treatment area is cleaned and a local anesthetic may be applied to ensure your comfort during the injection process.
Injection
Following the preparation, Radiesse is carefully injected into the pre-determined areas using a thin needle.
After the injection, the practitioner may gently massage the treated area to ensure that the filler is evenly distributed.
Post-Treatment Care
You will be given specific instructions regarding post-treatment care. It generally includes avoiding strenuous activities, excessive sun or heat and consumption of alcoholic beverages for a minimum of 24 hours post-treatment.
Follow-Up Appointments
Regular follow-up appointments will be scheduled to monitor your progress and ensure the optimal outcome of your Radiesse treatment. These appointments also provide an opportunity to discuss any concerns or questions you may have about the treatment or its results.
